FOR the first time in the taxi industry in the country, almost all residents drivers became angry with the government. Everything haves for failure SPAD governs the public transport system (drivers) well.
Earlier,
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan
Kassim to review the issue of drivers in the House of Commons, in his
review, he named the vehicles involved with Uber and MyTeksi (Grabcar)
as "TAXI" unregistered and unlicensed by the Land Public Transport
Commission (SPAD).
I believe in the presence of Applications and Application Uber MyTeksi (Grabcar) he was confused between TAXI and CAR BROOM.
He also explained the Government's policy, that booking a taxi through
the application is allowed as long as they use a vehicle with an
operator's license and the activity does not violate the country's laws.
But what is happening today, and application providers Uber MyTeksi
(Grabcar) has violated the Act, if the application is made available or
used vehicles that are not licensed, and this clearly made a mistake.
Next the Ministry of Transport, through its minister, Datuk Seri Liow
Tiong Lai also commented on the issue of the taxi industry, he informed
the Ministry of Transport wants to Land Public Transport Commission
(SPAD) to solve the problem of "FREE TAXI".
He said "SPAD should study how best to regulate the operations of the independent drivers bagimewujudkan win-win situation". I believe he is confused between Independent Taxi, Taxi and Train Sweep.
Furthermore SPAD CEO Mohd Azharuddin Mat Shah informed that they often
receive complaints about drivers who refuse to use the meter.
"One frequent complaint from users choose" FREE TAXI "is because taxi
drivers do not use the meter, the use of old vehicles, foul and rude
attitude against Uber driver, so this should also be given attention,"
he said.
Actually, I can accept if Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim and Datuk Seri
Liow Tiong Lai confused between Taxi and Train Sweep, because they do
not reside in the State of the taxi industry.
But when one of the rank of major in the SPAD can not distinguish Taxi
and Train Sweep, I think the Government should be aware of the plight
of the citizens of drivers and remodel SPAD.
Regarding
the statements made by Mohd Azharuddin Mat Shah that taxi drivers do
not use the meter, the use of old vehicles, foul and rude attitude. I believe that the internal problems that should be solved wisely SPAD, rather than legalize the activities Kerata Sweep.
I've
voiced a proposal to Syed Hamid Albar to solve the problem of taxi
drivers in propersional, I recommend that SPAD create a Migration Plan
Operator Licence, this plan will give the opportunity to all taxi
drivers have individual taxi permits after they expire hire purchase
agreements, indirectly the plan would free taxi drivers from colonization company.
Problems do not use meters and rude attitude of taxi drivers is a
matter of attitude than a handful of taxi drivers, which require
expertise SPAD discipline taxi drivers, or remove them from the taxi
industry, rather than legalize Train Sweep.
The
problem of old vehicles and vehicles stink, it is due to the pressures
of life that had to taxi drivers face after the company racked kedarat
them, for example taxi drivers had to pay rent to the company more than
RM1500 per month for 5 years for Proton Waja, while the RM1500 rates that taxi drivers could afford a more luxurious vehicle.
Should
SPAD operated by individuals who have experience and knowledge in the
taxi industry of the country, other than that they must have the vision
and determination to respond to the Government to upgrade the quality of
taxi services, so that the welfare and economic taxi drivers
guaranteed, so taxi drivers are able to provide services satisfying, and not scold the Government.
But
what is happening since the establishment of SPAD, taxi drivers are
blamed, worse when SPAD Government entrusted a hands-off attitude.
